How To: Homemade Exfoliating Strawberry Lip Scrub!

Hi everyone :)
Today i decided to do a different post. I'm gonna tell you how to make your own Strawberry Exfoliating Lip Scrub!
Yes, lips also need exfoliating. I know lip-scrubs are not common in Pakistan so i thought that a way to make your own lip scrub would be really helpful :D Soo lets get started!

What you'll need:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 strawberry
What to do:

  • In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and honey.

  • Using the back of a spoon, crush the strawberry into the mixture and add the lemon juice.

  • Pour in the granulated sugar (don't mix it too much, you don't want it to dissolve completely).

  • Using your finger, apply the scrub to your lips and let it sit for a minute or so. Then, rub gently in circles to exfoliate.

  • Remove the scrub with a warm, wet cloth and follow up with a lip balm to keep your lips nourished and soft.

  • That's how easy it is! And its really helpful, it leaves your lips really nice and smooth and soft :D So try it and let me know what you think!
    Until next time,
    Take care :)

Review: ARTDECO Mineral Powder Foundation Brush

    Hi guys :)
Today im going to be reviewing an artdeco product. Its the Mineral Powder Foundation Brush. Its a mineral powdered foundation with a soft & natural coverage.

    The site says:
Loose mineral powder foundation with a make-up brush.

The alternative product to the Mineral Powder Foundation has an integrated brush. The Mineral Powder Foundation has the opacity of a classical foundation and the silky matt consistency of a loose powder. It gives a perfect, even complexion with a very natural fresh, vitalized and radiant look. Contains a high-quality mineral complex of zinc and magnesium and is suited for all skin types, from sensitive to oily skin.

This is an amazing product for those who have really oily skin. In Pakistan, the weather is hot & humid and most people suffer from really bad conditions of oily skin. If you're looking for a foundation that's matte and provides natural coverage, perfect for everyday use, then this is your choice.
As i said before, this product gives a natural coverage. If you're looking for heavier coverage, liquid foundations provides more of a heavier coverage as compared to powder ones. The benefit of a powder foundation is that you don't have to go for a liquid foundation and then a powder on top of that, mineral powdered foundations provide the coverage/usage of both at the same time.
It comes with a brush, that i don't really use. I like to use my powder brush from the body shop. The bristles of the brush that comes with this foundation are a little hard, otherwise its an okay brush, it blends the foundation really well.

The long-lasting effect isn't that great. I mean it lasts for about 3-4 hours but you need to touch up after that. Overall, according to the price, its a little expensive, but if you have really oily skin and have a tough time finding a foundation that's matte enough, this is for you. I got it for Rs. 2200 which is pricey, but its a foundation and you can spend a little on that ;) I got it from Naheed Superstore.
So yes, this was my review on the Artdeco Mineral Powder Foundation :)
Do you have this product? Feel free to tell me about it in the comments!
    Take care,
    Rida xx

    TAG! Elle's 15 Questions:

    Hi everyone! Rida here!
So i decided to do something different other than reviews&hauls (: Just a random fun tag. This is Elle's tag (althatglitters21 on youtube) and i thought it was cute and random so i decided to do it :)
    Lets staaart!

    1. What do you think you can do but can't?
There are so many things that i think i can do but i can't! Sing for instance. I can't sing. But in my mind i think i sing great xD (i know Blair said this too but i have the same problem i swear xD)

    2. What's a difficult word for you to pronounce?

I gave a lot of thought to this question. There actually isn't any word that i can't pronounce o_O. But I say "except" and "accept" the same way. Is that weird? Does that count? lol. ANYWAY.

    3. What is a favorite TV show from your childhood?

Rugrats and Full House. I LOVED those shows. I still watch them on YouTube sometimes xD Even though im turning 18 next month. haha.

    4. What are your virtues and vices?

My virtue would be.. I never let people down. Like, im never the one who cheats or lies, i don't see the point in hurting anyone? Im always the one who's loyal and honest.
My vice would be.. I get angry really easily. And depressed really easily. That's bad. lol. But its been less over the years, i was really whiny and arrogant when i was young xD

    5. What's more important: love, fame, power, or money?

      LOVE. Always comes first.

    6. If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why?

I think about 500 years from now. The future xP Cuz' im into gadgets and gizmos a LOT. Soo yeah future :P

    7. If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with 2 stores, what would they be and why?

If i see it Pakistan-wise, it would definitely be EGO and Fnk-Asia ;D Loove the trendy clothes there <3

    8. Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day?

Hmm let's see. It's 22nd April 2011. Last year on the same date i would probably be studying cuz' my finals were from 28th April so yeah.

    9. Do you have reoccurring dreams? If so, explain?

I don't have any reoccurring dreams. I dream very less.. Is that weird? xD

    10. What's your horoscope?

Gemini!! I was born on 25th May!! :D

    11. What does your dream bedroom look like?

Hmm. It has to be purple. Like not a blah-purple but a really nice rich indigo color. One wall purple and the other three a really light champaign-y color. Of course it would have a queen-sized bed and a vanity big enough to fit gazillions of makeup and a HUGE closet xD Hey i can dream can't i? :P

    12. What position do you sleep in?

On my side! I do change my sides though. lol.

    13. Who is your favorite vampire of all time?

DAMON from The Vampire Diaries alll the wayyy <3 Gosh im soo obsessed with Vampire Diaries atm. Damon's soo hot xD

    14. What are you currently wearing on your feet?

     Uhh. Slippers o_O

    15. Do you have neat handwriting? Show us!

Yeah i don't have neat handwriting, not at all :P im gonna show a picture anyway.

Anyway so that was my tag :) I hope you guys like it and let me know if i should continue doing more tags and fun posts along with the usual hauls and reviews :)
    Until next time,
    Take care!

Luscious Cosmetics Eye shadows - Review!

    Assalamualaikum!
    Rida here again =)
Today I'm going to give a review on Luscious cosmetics' eye shades. I have five of their lovely eye shades. Here is a picture:

    Their site says:
Are you sick of eye shadows that fade after you apply them?
    We’ve got the perfect solution!

Luscious Eye shadows are luxuriously creamy, rich, and blend able. They are packed with intense color that will never crease or fade. Enhance your eyes with delicate shimmer and a plush, velvety finish.

The quality of these eye shades are really amazing. They are super pigmented and they last all day. I do really believe that these are the best eye shadows you can easily get here in Pakistan. They also are very easily blend-able. [I kind of did a smokey look with the shadow "masquerade" and "thunder" and a little bit of basic black eyeshadow.] I do recommend you to use a brush instead of sponge applicator because the sponge applicators catch bacterias easily. I even wore them on my sister's reception :D

The eye shadows come in silver packaging which is really cute. They open and close without any hassle. Here is my review on each of the single eye shadows:

Thunder: This is a basic silver/grey eye shade that is a necessity in every makeup case. Very important for smokey looks. Looks great with any color :)

Misty: A really pretty green color which looks absolutely ravishing on your eyes :) Looks great with brown eyes.

Moonbeam: My favoritest (is that a word?) eye shade from all five is Moonbeam :) This is a really pretty champagne-y color which is absolutely great as a highlight on your brow bone. One of my everyday use product! A must have!

Angel: The name says it all :) An amazing light purple color which softens up your eyes. A great color for spring-looks!

Masquerade: This is my second favorite!! I love how it looks all mysterious-ish ;D A truly amazing color which looks really good on the outer corner. Its sort of a bluish-purplish-grey. Totally gorgeous <3

Here is a swatch of all the colors:

(left to right) Misty, Thunder, Moonbeam, Angel & Masquerade.

A single eyeshadow is for Rs.325. They're available at almost all big department stores. You can always order online at www.iloveluscious.com. They ship internationally! (yay!) :D
So that was it, i hope you guys enjoyed the review. See you soon!

E.L.F Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo

    Hii! Rida here!
I know we've been MIA but we're back now :D Today i decided to do a review on E.L.F. contouring blush and bronzer duo.

    Their website says:
Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.

So the first thing you need to know that this is a dupe for the NARS Laguna Bronzer and the NARS Orgasm Blush! The packaging is really similiar also.

Its a portable packaging but still it has a pretty big mirror so you can put it in your purse and still check your makeup throughout the day. The quality is really good considering the price, that's what i absolutely love about E.L.F cosmetics!

The pigmentation of the product is really nice. Its not too subtle, its not too bright. Just perfect for that sweep of blush and bronzer :) Plus the blush looks good on any skin tone.
I think the bronzer might be a little dark for american skin tones, or for really light skin tones. But I think it really suits the Pakistani/Indian skin tones.

     To sum it up:

    Pros:
    -Inexpensive.
-Decent amount of product for the price.
-Color build-able.You could go very sheer to pretty nice blushed look.
    -Very pigmented.
    -Nice packaging.
    -Big mirror.

    Cons:
-The bronzer might be a little dark for really light skin tones.

    Price: $3.

You can get this from www.eyeslipsface.com, but sadly they don't ship to Pakistan. So if you have someone you know in UK or US, you can tell them to get it for you :D (like i did!)

    Until next time :))
    Thanks so much.
    Rida <3
