Mehndi Of The Day?

Hey guys!
My sister came over today and bought a mehndi cone with her!

"Mehndi ({{Hindi:मेहँदी}}) or menhdi ({{Hindi:मेंहदी}}) is the application of henna as a temporary form of skin decoration in India, as well as by expatriate communities from the country." - Wikipedia

Mehndi is like a tradition in the eastern countries, also very popular in weddings and all.

And my sister made this awesome design for me which i'm absolutely loving! It's sort of geometric but eastern at the same time (:
What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments! (:

REVIEW: Luscious Incredible Lash Mascara

Hi everyone :)
Today im going to review yet another luscious product. It's the incredible lash mascara. I got it a few weeks ago and i really like its application. The wand is really different from other mascaras as you can see in the pictures below.

I really like the wand but honestly, the consistency of the mascara isn't that great. Like, its good. But i've used better. Its kinda clumpy so you have to really work it on your eyelids. Once its set on the lashes, it looks really great and provides length + volume to the lashes which is great.

PROS:
Gives length and volume
Good wand

CONS:
Sometimes clumps but you have to work it through.

This product comes with a price of Rs.545 and you can get it online at www.iloveluscious.com

Summer Survival: Top 10 Beauty Must Haves

Hi everyone :)
I decided to start a summer series, i'm going to do a lot of posts on Summer Survival, showing you guys how to survive this scorching hot summer looking absolutely glamorous ;)

1) Luscious Whitening Base:
This is a 3 in 1 product and it has a makeup primer, moisturizer & sun-block all in one. This is a product i swear by. I've emptied 2 bottles and I'm on the third one now. It has perfect consistency, it's feels good even on my oily skin.
Plus this has SPF 35 in it which is perfect for summer!

Price: Rs 745/-

2) Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion:
This primer potion is a hit with the whole makeup industry! You've probably seen it makeup gurus use it.
This is really really long lasting and it doesn't crease.

Oh and this product came in a different packaging before but now it comes in this squishy tube. Personally, i liked the other packaging.

Price: $19.00

3) Lo'real True Match Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation:
This foundation is the. best. foundation. I've. ever. used. I have super oily skin and it gets worse in the summer. This foundation is really matte and long-lasting so its is a must have.
I don't really like the brush, its bristles are kinda hard. I like to use it with my Bodyshop powder brush.

Price: $12.99

4) Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Translucent Powder:
This is a really nice translucent powder, it totally sets your makeup and provides that subtle glow. It isn't really long lasting though. Lasts up to 4-5 hours. It doesn't look cakey and gives a really smooth silk finish.

Price: $8.99

5) Keihl's Lip Balm:
So i'm gonna be honest, i haven't used this product but i have heard so many good things about it that it deserves to be in this list.
Here's what the website says about this product:

A Kiehl’s classic and #1 bestseller, soothing lips since 1969.

•Temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped or cracked lips.
•Helps protect lips from the drying effects of wind and cold weather.
•Formulated with soothing emollients Squalane, Lanolin and Sweet Almond Oil as well as Vitamins A and E.

Price: About $8.00

6) E.L.F Blush and Bronzing Duo:
Okay I'm not gonna say too much about this product cuz' i have already done a detailed review on it. This duo has a peachy pink blush which is really subtle and adds a nice glow. And a bronzer which is absolutely perfect for my skin tone. I use this everyday. I've hit pan on the bronzer and i like the bronzer more than the blush.

Price: $5.00

7) Revlon Cream Blush:
How cute is the packaging of this product? :D You press the little button and the mirror comes out! Besides that this blush has a nice creamy consistency which looks cute. Tapped with some powder blush on top of this, it's a perfect combo for the summer!

Price:$15.95

8) Sephora Oil-Control Blotting Papers:
Blotting papers are a necessity for the hot summer. You need to carry them around in your purse if you want your face to look matte all day. Sephora has a book of natural matte blotting papers which absorb oil to reduce shine.

Price: $8.00

9) Too Faced - Natural Eye Palette:
Over-doing your shadows in the summer isn't the brightest idea. It's better to use natural nude colors. Too faced natural eye palette is perfect for the summer.

It comes with nine shadows from which you can create a subtle and a natural look or you can build it up and create a night look also. It comes with step-by-step instructions which is pretty cool.

Price: $35.00

10) Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof Mascara:
Now everyone needs waterproof mascara in the summer cuz' you're gonna be splashing in the pool or surfin' at the beach and you don't want your mascara to smudge so waterproof mascara is a necessity.
Covergirl comes with a really pretty orange tubed mascara which gives volume to the lashes and doesn't clump at all. A really good drugstore product.

Price: $7.65

That was my post on the 10 products which are essential for the summer. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Please let me know in the comments if you want this summer survival series to continue. :)
Take care,

Review: ARTDECO Perfect Teint Concealer

Hello ladies (:
I decided to do a review on the Artdeco Perfect Teint Concealer. It comes in a silver packaging with a rotating mechanism and it has a brush applicator.

The site says :

"Light-reflecting cover cream in elegant rotating mechanism

Light-reflecting pigments cover up shadows around the eyes, lines and wrinkles. The complexion appears more even and radiant and gets a fresh appearance. The light and pleasant texture is water-repellent and long-lasting. The brush applicator with practical rotating mechanism provides a very precise and easy application.
With UV protection. Fragrance-free."

So i'm just gonna say it. This is the best concealer i've ever used for my blemishes/redness. It's not that great for under eye area, but it's really good for the little blemishes and redness. The packaging can get a little messy sometimes but that's okay. Its moisturizing so you do need to apply a little translucent powder over the concealer.

Overall i would give it a 4/5.
Pros:
  • Good coverage
  • Stays on for long
  • Fixes up blemishes or redness
Cons:
  • A little pricey
  • Packaging could be better
  • Not really suitable for under-eye area

So that's it.. you can get it for around Rs.1100 here in Naheed Superstore.. It's basically £15.75 on the sites.
Please comment and let me know if you have tried this concealer :) I'll talk to you later!
Take care,
Rida xx
